I make this recipe multiple times a week for our family of four. It costs so much less then a healthy, clean ingredient loaf of bread at the store. It’s tastes better, fresher, and only takes me a few minutes.
The bread maker is a MUST for my everyday bread routine because it saves me so much time!
As a mom my time is super valuable so to be able to dump a few ingredients into a bread machine, walk away and get all the other jobs done on my plate is 100% worth the investment!
I’ve tried multiple bread machines and this is the one we use and love. It makes a 2 pound loaf, has a gluten free option, dough setting, and custom settings. I use it for all kinds of things beyond making bread.

What ingredients do I need to make vegan white bread?
Flour. I recommend an organic bread flour or high gluten flour. You can make this recipe with all purpose flour but you will get a lighter fluffier textured bread if you use a high gluten flour.
Plant Based Milk. I’ve used my homemade cashew milk and store bought oat milk. both give a similar result so you can use your favorite brand. I highly recommend this or this. Most store bought plant milks contain a lot of extra ingredients. Both of these options contain only 4 ingredients and don’t use any gums, stabilizers or fillers.
Plant Based Oil. I suggest a neutral oil like olive oil or avocado oil.
Sugar. This recipe works with any sweetener. I have used cane sugar, honey, and pure maple Syrup and achieved the same result.
Salt. I recommend Sea Salt.
Yeast. You can save by buying in bulk over individual packages since you’ll be using it regularly. Here is the yeast we use.
How to make vegan bread in the bread maker?
The order you add the ingredients to the bread maker is important. This is especially important if you want to do a delayed baked before work and have the machine work its magic while you’re gone.
- Add water, plant based milk, and oil to your bread machine.
- Measure Flour and add it to the bread machine on top of liquid ingredients.
- Add sugar.
- Add salt.
- Lastly, add yeast.
- Set the course on your bread machine.
- After bread is baked allow to cool on a cooling rack.
Everyday Vegan White Bread (In the Bread Machine)

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup plant based milk
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 1/4 cups flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
Instructions
- Add ingredients according to the instructions on your bread machine.
- Set your bread machine to the correct course. Use the basic course if you don't have a vegan setting.
- Set your crust control to medium.
- After bread has baked carefully remove the insert and turn out onto a cooling rack.
- After bread has cooled slice to desired thickness.
