Everyone’s spending a little more time in their own backyard. So why not turn your yard into a backyard oasis with these three summer essentials for the perfect backyard!
SUMMER ESSENTIAL ONE. Shade
This is a big one in our house (hello red hair and fair skin). We’re lucky to have a yard with a lot of trees and a gazebo over our porch but our pool has always been an issue. It faces south and gets sun ALL DAY LONG. It amazing for heating up the water but not so amazing for avoiding the harmful UV rays and the heat of the sun. We would actually wait to swim most day until the afternoon when a tree would shade part of the patio!
We added this sun shade sail to our pool area this week and it has made all the difference. It’s I love that it offers UV protection and allows the breeze through to regulate the outdoor temperature with cooling shade. Plus set up and take down is super easy!! If a sun shade sail doesn’t fit your space you cant go wrong with a good patio umbrella. If you’re short on shade in your backyard I definitely recommend adding one to your space.
SUMMER ESSENTIAL TWO. Hammock
Is there anything better then relaxing with a cold drink and a book in a hammock?? Okay so realistically I don’t get a lot of relaxing in with a toddler but when I do I love to sit here. Plus it’s a great place to relax with Arabella and reads some books in the fresh air. I love that it’s so light and portable. It’s easy to put up and take down and would be perfect in any backyard. Bonus you can pack it up and take it on the road for your next camping trip!
SUMMER ESSENTIAL THREE. Fire pit
Nothing says summer nights to me like a campfire and s’mores. Arabella couldn’t agree more. There are so many great options that work even in small backyards or porches so you can create magical memories all summer long.
