Natural Teething Remedies For Baby

January 4, 2022      Meg

Sharing tips for natural teething remedies for baby. Teething is tough on mom and baby! Use these tips to sooth babies teeth and gums.

When do babies start teething?

Most babies start showing signs of teething between 4 and 7 months. If your baby is fussy, chewing on everything, and drooling non-stop you might be well on your way to seeing some new teeth make their way into that gummy baby smile!

What are some natural teething remedies for baby?

Teething can be drawn out for a long time! Even if you chose to give your baby some sort of medicine when their teeth are erupting you’ll want to explore natural remedies for soothing your teething baby on a daily basis.

Teething discomfort is usually soothed through cold and pressure on their sore swollen gums.

Frozen Wet Baby Wash Cloth

If you have a 4 month old that still can’t hold and manipulate toys well or eat solids this one’s for you!

You probably have a ton of baby wash clothes hanging around. Wet them with clean filtered water, fold into a square and freeze.

You can help your baby chew on the corners and edges to sooth sore gums.

Silicone feeder

These are my kids favorite! They have so many uses. You can make frozen ice cubes out of breast milk or formula to put in them. Even easier, grab a plain ice cube and put them inside. Once your baby is eating solids frozen berries are great for snacking and soothing gums.

Celery Stalks

If your baby is eating solids cold celery stalks from the fridge are great for soothing teething baby gums and keeping your baby entertained. Make sure you supervise to avoid choking. I like to snap the ends off the stalk and pull to remove the strings as best as possible.

Teething Toys

There are so many great teething toys out there! Bonus not only will they sooth your teething baby, but they’ll also keep them busy and help to develop those motor skills!

Wood and silicone teethers are great natural options. My babies also loved the ones that you cool in the refrigerator to offer additional relief.
