Healthy Dairy Free Orange Creamsicle Popsicle Recipe

What are Healthy Popsicles?

Popsicles from the store include lots of artificial ingredients, sugars, and dye. When you make your own popsicles you control the ingredients. It super simple to combine healthy fruits, milk, yogurts, and even veggies for endless flavors. Play with different combinations to see which ones you like the most. The best part your kids get to enjoy a sweet treat and you get to know you’re giving them something healthy. This recipe is dairy free, soy free and nut free making it not only healthy but also allergy friendly.

How to Make Healthy Orange Creamsicle Popsicles

First gather your ingredients

Orange Juice I used store bought pulp free orange juice. You can use your favorite brand.

Coconut Milk This recipe uses canned full fat coconut milk. The extra fat creates the creaminess in the popsicle. You could substitute a different kind of dairy free milk but it will result in an icier popsicle.

Maple Syrup Maple syrup is one of my favorite natural sweeteners. it adds the perfect amount of sweetness to these popsicles.

Vanilla I use vanilla bean paste for a deep vanilla flavor. Vanilla extract would also work if you don’t have vanilla bean paste on hand.

Mix ingredients together

Next mix everything in a bowl with a whisk. No fancy blender required for this popsicle recipe. This means that you kids can do the pouring and stirring themselves.

Fill popsicle molds

I use a silicone mold that makes the popsicles easy to remove. If you have toddlers I recommend these smaller molds that are a better portion size for small kids.

Freeze

Freeze for 6 hours or overnight until popsicles are firm.
